Founded in 1967 by Daisaku Ikeda, who was then third Soka Gakkai president, the Soka Gakuen Schools were brought to fruition from the seeds of educational principles sowed by first Soka Gakkai president Tsunesaburo Makiguchi and second president Josei Toda. With its aim set on the sound development of students in both mind and body as well as in fortifying their academic aptitude on a humanistic basis, the Schools are shaping young people to lead truly contributive lives as global citizens.

Soka University was dedicated in 1971 with the goal of realizing Makiguchi Sensei’s insights into the sanctity of life, which Toda and Ikeda Senseis carried forward. To foster capable individuals committed to bettering the world, it upholds the following mission statement:
・Be the highest seat of learning for humanistic education
・Be the cradle of a new culture
・Be a fortress for the peace of humankind.

Tokyo Fuji Art Museum

Tokyo Fuji Art Museum
Established in 1983 by Ikeda Sensei, the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum has a unique and diverse collection of art, ranging from Western paintings of the Renaissance to the 20th century to photographs that span the medium’s history. In order to build bridges of goodwill around the world, the Museum organizes and supports exhibitions at home and abroad, providing new perspectives to expand cultural exchange worldwide through art.

Search by Facility

・Only Soka Gakkai (SGI) members and authorized personnel can be admitted into a Complex facility. The only exception is the Min-On Culture Center.
・Also, a facility may open or close without regard to normal operating hours due to commemorative events or inclement weather.
