Youth Cherry Tree

Dozens of cherry trees are planted throughout the Soka Gakkai Headquarters Complex, blooming as one in the spring. One of the most majestic trees stands across the street from the Hall of the Great Vow for Kosen-rufu’s Sokamon Gate, which Ikeda Sensei named “Youth Cherry Tree,” having been planted even before the headquarters relocated to Shinanomachi in November 1953. The tree continues to flourish, inspiring all those who come to appreciate its beauty and symbolizing the bold and proud spirit of Youth Division members everywhere.

In addition to a rest area, visitors can use the tea/water dispenser, soft drink vending machines and a special time card and stamp corner to commemorate the occasion.

Exit the wicket and turn right.

Once you leave the station building, turn right at the street.

Facing the Soka Gakkai Visitor's Center, proceed left along the street.

Soon after turning left, you can see the Hall of the Great Vow for Kosen-rufu on the right.

After passing the Hall of the Great Vow for Kosen-rufu, you will come to an intersection with a small park on the left.

Turn right at the intersection.

Follow the street a few meters and you’ll see the Soka Treasure Light Reception Center on your left.
