Shinano Peace Center

The Shinano Peace Center was dedicated in April 1997, with SGI President Daisaku Ikeda visiting the facility on April 18 to offer prayers in honor of First Soka Gakkai President Tsunesaburo Makiguchi. Soka Gakkai and SGI members have followed suit to this day, doing gongyo and chanting daimoku on a daily basis.
1F Hope Lounge
A rest area where visitors can enjoy a snack or soft drinks, the 150-seat Lounge offers a hot tea and purified water dispenser, as well as vending machines for non-alcoholic beverages and a special time card and stamp corner to commemorate their visit. Issues of the Seikyo Shimbun newspaper and other Soka Gakkai publications are also available for viewing.
2F Light of Friendship Hall
Gongyo and daimoku sessions are held four times a day at this 300-seat hall, at 11:00, 12:30, 15:00 and 17:00.
However, the number of sessions and their times are subject to change, depending on attendance and the holding of commemorative events.

Exit the wicket and turn right.

Once you leave the station building, turn right at the street.

Facing the Soka Visitor’s Center, go left and follow that street.

Walk down the slightly inclined street, passing the car park on the right.

Continue walking for some 100 meters.

Once the street flattens out, the Shinano Peace Center is on the right.
